Women of Purpose does it again hosting their annual women only musical concert on the 17 December 2018 at the Pretoria Botanical Gardens African Pride Cafe from 11am. Themed “Women’ thou art loosed!’” the concert aims to encourage women to set free from day-to-day challenges they face, through music. On its 3rd year, this concert is the brainchild of renowned pianist and musical director Sankie Baraza.
Baraza has a passion for all women to live a fulfilled purposeful life. She has teamed up with a strong team of instrumentalists, poets, Motivational speakers, Pastors and Ministers who are all women to be part of this concert in their different spheres on the day.
“I am really proud of the progress that the concert has made since its inception in 2015. Women of Purpose concert is bigger than me. It is bigger than people coming together to have fun,” – Baraza.
The Women of Purpose concert’s objective is to fund young girls and women who are looking to pursue a career in music. Encouraging young girls and women to believe in their abilities and need to knowing that they can be whoever they set out to be in the music industry; be it a DJ, Musical Directors, Music Producer, Singer and Songwriter.
Line-up for the day will see great female artists such as 2016 SATMA nominee LES-EGO, Mo Afrika, Vocal Trio, Tshegofatso Vilakazi, Rhoda, Phindile The Soul Provider, Nothando Mkhwanazi; and phenomenal speakers such as Blessing Sibanyoni, Ministers Nomsa Radebe, Apostle Sarah Mokwena, Minister Mpiteseng, Pastor Lettie Maluleke, Sankie The Pianist perform live, and Mrs Nthabiseng Zitha as MC for the day.
